European Research Centers

  • Bruegel - Improving Economic Policy.  Topic International Economics Think Tank.  Bruegel is a European think tank specializing in economics. Established in 2005, Bruegel is independent and non-doctrinal. Our mission is to improve the quality of economic policy with open and fact-based research, analysis and debate. We are committed to impartiality, openness and excellence. Bruegel’s membership includes EU Member State governments, international corporations and institutions.
  • Center for Economic Studies (CES) - IFO Institute, Munich. - The CESifo Group, consisting of the Center for Economic Studies (CES), the Ifo Institute and the CESifo GmbH (Munich Society for the Promotion of Economic Research) is a research group unique in Europe in the area of economic research.
  • Centre for Economic Policy Research (CEPR) - CEPR's research is conducted by a network of over 800 researchers who retain their academic bases.  The Centre helps develop and obtain funding for research, adminster and execute these projects and dissemeinate the results of the research.
  • Centre for European Economic Research - Founded in 1990 on the basis of a public-private initiative in the Federal State of Baden-Württemberg in co-operation with the University of Mannheim, the Centre is one of Germany's leading economic research institutes, and enjoys a strong reputation throughout Europe. 
  • Directory of European Union Think Tanks (TTDeurope) - Contains information about the most important think tanks in the European Union. It will cover size, funding, areas of research and product range of every single organisation.
  • Economics and Econometrics Research Institute (EERI): The Economics and Econometrics Research Institute (EERI) is an inter-University research centre. The aim of EERI is to provide a forum in which scholars can address some of their common concerns. The objective of the Institute is to promote fundamental research in economics and econometrics. It also encourages the participation of economists and econometricians in addressing issues of public importance.

  • Center for Capital Flow Analysis
    "The purpose of the Center for Capital Flow Analysis is to teach and promote the use of national flow of funds accounts as a method of explaining supply and demand in capital markets. The site is designed for students of capital market behavior, with emphasis on practical applications for investors, issuers, and market intermediaries."
  • Center on Budget and Policy Priorities
    "Non-partisan research and policy institute working on federal and state fiscal policies and public programs that affect low- and moderate-income Americans."
  • Centre for Economic Performance
    "The CEP studies the determinants of economic performance at the level of the company, the nation and the global economy by focusing on the major links between globalisation, technology and institutions (above all the educational system and the labour market) and their impact on productivity, inequality, employment, stability and well-being."
  • Federal Reserve Bank of Cleveland
    "The Federal Reserve Bank of Cleveland was established in 1914 as a part of the Federal Reserve System, the central bank of the United States." The bank provides detailed research reports on a variety of topics including economic trends, world inflation, and the federal fund rate.
  • Levy Economics Institute (Bard College)
    "The Levy Economics Institute of Bard College, founded in 1986 through the generous support of Bard College trustee Leon Levy, is a nonprofit, nonpartisan, public policy research organization. The Levy Institute is independent of any political or other affiliation, and encourages diversity of opinion in the examination of economic policy issues while striving to transform ideological arguments into informed debate."
