Instructions for submitting graduate capstones or masters projects

Graduate capstones and masters' projects are NOT submitted to ProQuest.

However, you are encouraged to submit your final approved capstone or project to RIT Scholar Works.  Scholar Works is an open access digital library where your work will be preserved and made available globally.

If your department does NOT require specific style guidelines, use the Chicago Manual of Style and follow these general requirements.  Please indicate the nature of your work on the title page ("A Capstone Project," "A Masters' Project", etc.).

Once you receive FINAL APPROVAL from your committee, have your advisor submit your project to RIT Scholar Works:

  • A PDF version of your work should be submitted by your advisor or another department contact via email to etdlib@rit.edu
  • Exclude advisors' signatures from the PDF of your paper
  • Include up to five keywords and an abstract - this information will be included in the Scholar Works record
