Nancy Rourke

This video is available courtesy of Patti Durr's Deaf Art, Deaf Artists website. Nancy Rourke studied graphic design and painting at the National Technical Institute of the Deaf (NTID) and Rochester Institute of Technology (RIT) in Rochester, NY, and earned a master's degree in computer graphic design and painting. She has worked as a graphic designer for such companies as Xerox, 20th Century Fox, and Microsoft Corporation. She began drawing and painting when she was a child as a way of communicating with her parents. Her ultimate goal, aside from expressing herself, is to show appreciation for the Deaf community and to convey her Deafhood journey and experiences.
