Researching a Specific Game

 

Finding information on a specific game can be challenging.  Often, popular games are covered in both professional and popular magazines, as well as in newspapers.

Article Search Strategy

Try searching these databases for the following keywords, individually or in combination with each other:

  • Name of the game (find coverage of the game and how it's being played, how popular it is)
  • Name of the company that makes the game (find sales data and information about their business)
  • Name of the game's designer, if known (find interviews with them, if published)

Book Search Strategy

You may be able to find books on specific games by searching for them by name in the library catalog, but only the most popular games would have an entire book devoted to them. 

To find library books on classic games, your best bet is to search one of these subjects:
