Direct reference transfer

Several reference sources can directly connect to EndNote and allow you to save references to your personal library.

Search and import directly from the library catalog

You can search the RIT Libraries Catalog directly from EndNote and then import references you select.  This is an effective way of importing references to books you wish to cite in bibliographies.

Click on the "Online Search" link found on the Collect tab.  Then choose the "Rochester Institute of Tech" search option.

Direct export from library databases

Direct export is not available in all RIT library databases, but some of our frequently used databases do support this feature.

Direct export of references from Web of Science

The Web of Science database features an Export to EndNote button, which easily and automatically allows you to directly export references.

Look for the following button in your search results:
