Federal tax information including codes, rulings, regulations, cases, legislation, and IRS publications. Also includes state tax resources along with accounting standards from FASB, AICPA, IASB including IFRS. This is a shared account. No saving of documents or history of searching.

Start at pg. 96 "Using Search Connectors" to 100. This section will give some great search options for Connectors. The help guide is 400+ pages. Probably more than you need to know for any RIT assignments. But take a look if you want to dig deep into Checkpoint. Keep in mind our subscription does not include all content on the platform.

Checkpoint Account Creation

As an RIT student you can create a Checkpoint account that is not shared. This gives you access to folders for saving research, highlights and notes features. This will be a temporary 6 month account from Jan-July and July-Dec.
First you create an account using the link just below.

Checkpoint Account Creation
Temporary individual accounts are available under RIT's subscription. through this link. You must use your RIT email address. Accounts are active from Jan to July and then from July to December. You must re-register after an account lapses in July and December. Re-register within 45 days of the account end date and the information will carry over. Individual accounts allow you to save research and information as you would in a workplace. All accounts are temporary under our contract and only available while enroll as a student.

Second you need to verify your RIT email by clicking the link sent to your email from Checkpoint User Administration. It will have the Subject line: Thomson Reuters Checkpoint Registration. This email will include your Checkpoint username and a temporary password to access the site. The system will prompt you to change your password immediately. Make note of your new password.

You will now be in the Checkpoint platform under your own account.

Now to access this temporary account you will now use the link below RIT Checkpoint link but you will then logout of the shared account and login using your personal username and password which you set up using the steps above.

Access to Checkpoint after your Checkpoint account is created
Use the username and password you set up with Checkpoint. This is not your RIT username and password. Remember the Checkpoint accounts expire every July and December at which time you re-register.

USTR (United States Tax Reporter)	The Internal Revenue Code, regulations, committee reports, cases, rulings, explanations, and annotations of cases and rulings.
FTC (Federal Tax Coordinator)	All Federal tax laws, regulations, relevant court cases, and IRS rulings and releases.
Citator 2nd	Presents histories of Federal tax cases & rulings citing or cited by other cases & rulings.
