Try Hoover's for basic company information and access to the annual reports. Read the Letters to the Shareholders near the beginning of the report.
Search news in Proquest (New York Times and Wall Street Journal). Look at the companies' websites that share news, usually in a section called media press.

Information about companies will vary. Try Company Profiles in Business Source Elite.

Explore the world's companies through company overviews, financial statements, market share reports, market research, SWOT analyses, company histories, country/territory overviews along with articles from academic, trade, and news sources.

If you need a MarketLine Report and you can't locate them in other databases, try Investext. Type in the date range you need or check off all dates, type in the company name, then select Contributor and type in MarketLine. This will give you more recent reports.
