In addition to the books in its collection, RIT Libraries provides access to books at other institutions through ConnectNY and Interlibrary Loan.
Researching a specific culture? Our "Culture and Customs of..." series by Greenwood Press can be a great starting point. Click the book cover on the left to browse our list of over 90 available titles.
You have two options when searching for anthropology books in RIT's collection.
You can search for your culture as a keyword, looking for any book that uses your term in the title, author, publisher, subject, or notes field.
Or, you can search for your culture as a subject, finding any book that is about your culture regardless of the words used to describe the text.

If a book listed does not display a shelf location, it means it is an ebook. Simply follow the links to access the book online.
WorldCat allows you to search library collections across the globe all in one place. Items not available through RIT can then be requested through interlibrary loan for free.
ConnectNY
If RIT doesn't have what you need, you can also search ConnectNY, a consortium of New York State Libraries that will loan books to RIT students, faculty, and staff for free.
