Researching the Interactive Media Industry

Researching the interactive media industry requires a different strategy.  Begin by browsing Plunkett's Almanac or one of the recommended web sites, continue on by searching Mintel for market research information, and search the library's collection for books on current games and the gaming industry.

Market research in Mintel

If you are interested in market research on games, consoles, or platforms, including data on the number of units sold, the best source to use is Mintel.  Please note that accessing Mintel requires a login with your RIT username and password, and searching Mintel for market research reports requires a free registration.  Search for keywords such as "games," "game consoles," "online gaming," etc.
