Google Scholar Button

Do you use Google Scholar?  Get the benefits of Google Scholar from a convenient button in your browser.

Use the Google Scholar Button to:

  • Find full text on the web or in your university library.  Select the title of the paper on the page you're reading, and click on the Scholar button to find it
  • Transfer your query from web search to Scholar.  Press the Scholar button to see the top three results; click "full screen" in the lower left of the pop-up to see them all
  • Format references in widely used citation styles.  Press the quote button in the pop-up to see a formatted reference and copy it into the paper you're writing

GetFTR

The GetFTR Browser Extension works for all websites which use DOIs. The Browser Extension:

  • Signals scholarly content that researchers are entitled to read, through institutional subscriptions or open access
  • Adds smart links directly to trusted content
  • Provide retraction and errata information, right at the point of discovery

Use the GetFTR Browser Extension when searching sources like Google Scholar and PubMed to easily connect to subscribed full text articles.

Unpaywall

Use Unpaywall to access millions of open access scholarly articles from within your browser.

Look for the green Unpaywall icon while you're viewing an unsubscribed article and click it to find a free, open access version of that article.

RIT contributes to Unpaywall by allowing harvesting of open access records from our institutional repository.
