The first political cartoon from the American colonies. It was drawn by Benjamin Franklin and featured in the Pennsylvania Gazette

This guide will help you find, research, and analyze political cartoons. Under the Primary Sources tab, you will find databases and links to find political cartoons and you can research the historical contexts of these cartoons using the databases listed in the Background Research tab. General research tips and recommendations to improve your results are also featured in the Research Tips tab.
