What is a zine?

What is a zine? (pronounced 'zeen' - like the last syllable in magazine)

A zine can be defined as a self-published, small-circulation, mini-magazine. They can cover a variety of formats and topics, from basic booklets to more elaborate bindings, to digital publications. Zines allow for the publication of ideas and opinions that otherwise may not have a voice.

Explore the circulating zine collection at the Wallace Library! Located on the first floor across from the Information Desk.

The RIT Zine Fest will be held Friday, March 28, 2025. Click here for more information!
