e-Videos

Many of our e-Video databases have captions and interactive transcripts. A few popular e-VIdeos databases are listed here, but there are others. Check the help or accessibility link on your database page to get more information. Explore video collections and audio collections from our database list. For more information, check out the Media InfoGuide. 

FIlms on Demand

Captions -Use the advanced search to find captioned videos. If you want to format your captions, follow these directions. On the Films on Demand page, click "My Films."

Create an account if you don't already have one
Log on to your account
Click "Welcome [your name]"
Click "My Account settings"
Scroll down to "Caption Settings
Adjust the font size, font family, font color, and background colors.
Scroll down and click "Save Changes"

Interactive Transcript--Available for all English language videos. Interactive Transcripts allow you to view the full text of the video, search within the full text, or click on any word in the transcript to jump to that exact point in the video. 

Using the Advanced Search, you may locate all titles that have interactive transcripts.  Simply select the video content type and the following advanced filter will appear:  Show only programs that have interactive transcripts.  Check this box to show only results that have a transcript available.

 Language- - If you do not have an account, create one. Log on.  Set a default language for Google Translate.  Setting another language will automatically translate all page text sitewide. You can view films in your preferred language.

Credo Reference

Some content types in Credo Reference may have limited usability for individuals with certain disabilities.
Captions-The videos in the Core Collections have closed captioning.

Interactive transcript-Some videos additionally have transcripts provided by the publisher.  Credo Education materials include transcripts for all audio-visual content.

Note: Audio content such as pronunciation files, and video content not in the Core Collections, may not be usable by a deaf or blind user.

LinkedIn Learning

Captions-Video player controls are located at the bottom of each player window, and allow you to turn on or off the captions. 

Interactive transcript-Below the player, click the Transcript tab.

Language-Simplified Chinese, English, French, German, Japanese, Portuguese, and Spanish. Important: Some of the courses and features might not be available in all languages. There are two ways to change your LinkedIn Learning content library to another language:

From your homepage:

  • Click  Language. From the dropdown that appears, select the language in which you wish to view content.

From your profile:

  1. Click Me in the upper right corner of your LinkedIn Learning homepage.
  2. Click Change content language.
  3. In the Content Language section of the Manage Your Account page, select the language in which you wish to view content.
