Database resources for codes

MADCAD provides online access to important international building codes, as well as the New York State building code

AccessEngineering provides many handbooks for using codes effectively and can be browsed by code for ease of access

Codes as e-books

Codes in print

The library retains some code books in the print book collection.  For more, please search the library catalog or consult with a librarian.

Interlibrary Loan/IDS Express

If you still are not able to acquire the code you need, request that it be ordered for you via Interlibrary Loan's IDS Express service.  Should you have any questions about submitting a request for an expensive code, please consult with the Engineering Librarian.  Sometimes due to the expense and the need for additional faculty and students to consult the same code in the future, it is more appropriate to purchase the code for the print collection.  These decisions will be made on a case-by-case basis.
