This guide lists information about locating and obtaining a variety of codes. You may need to use this guide in conjunction with the guide on locating and obtaining standards. This guide does NOT provide information about the tax code or codes of ethics.

Code Search Engines

You can search these organization, association, or commercial sites to help identify the existence of a code. Then come back into the library to see if we own or have access to it (see Codes|Books|Handbooks tab). Never pay for a code yourself.

ASME Publications Information
We do not own any ASME codes (Boiler and Pressure Vessel Codes, etc.) or standards.
International Code Council Store
The library already owns many of the major codes available from ICC. Be sure to check the Codes|Books|Handbooks tabs to identify which ones we own.
National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) Codes
NFPA Codes and Standards are now freely available. After selecting a code, you can view or download individual sections.
TAPPI
Use the TAPPI web site to identify the TAPPI standard needed. We own the 2015/2016 TAPPI Standards on CD.
