Overview

When looking for statistics or data on a topic, you need to think about how you want your data to be organized.  Do you want it it be organized by location such as county or state?  Or, do you want your data to be organized by a specific demographic feature such as gender or race?

Most of the sites listed below are organized by location.  If you need local data, Rochester is in Monroe County, NY.

If you are working with a large data set you will want to think about ways to more easily derive meaning from your data - check out the Working with Data subtab for some useful tools.
