Claudia became deaf when she was eight years old in Jamaica. After her mother moved to the Bronx she and her children joined her. Claudia attended Howard University which empowered her. She works as a disability rights advocate, is a manager for Sprint Accessibility, and is an attorney (Seitchik. 2018). First deaf female African-American lawyer. She was also the first deaf student to graduate from the American University Washington DC College of Law.
