Finding Materials Using Summon

The image at left is a Summon search bar outlined in orange. The Summon orange search box is on the RIT Libraries' homepage. It is a search tool that searches almost all of RIT Libraries' content (as well as other libraries) from a single search box. It is similar to a Google search of library resources. You will find print books/ebooks, ejournals, print articles, InfoGuides, videos, etc. The best way to use Summon is to use the filters in the left-hand column when you see your Summon search results. Sometimes you will not find what you need in Summon, and you might need to go to individual search tools like the RIT Libraries Catalog or specific databases to find more accurate and refined results.  Start out using the keywords (interpreting OR interpreter) AND (healthcare OR medical care) AND deaf and revise your keywords as you search.

Try Summon's search box below.

eBooks in Summon

The RIT Libraries has a continually growing collection of e-books in a diverse range of subject areas. You can easily locate e-books using the refinement filters within Summon.  Conduct your Summon search, refine your search to "items with full text online" and limit the content type to "Books/ebook".  Your list of results will now be only e-books.
