John Martin Brauti conducted research on the first deaf woman immigrant from Norway, Sarah Larson, sister of Lars Larson who moved to Rochester. If interested in learning more about Deaf Norwegian immigrants, there is a chapter Deaf World: Deaf migration from Norway to North America in the period of 1825-1955 in the book, No history, no future: Proceedings of the 7th DHI International Conference.
