The Deaf Belgian artist is Sander Blondeel, who specializes in stained-glass work. The work is located at NTID, on the second floor, near the NTID president and dean's offices.
President Lyndon B. Johnson signed the 1965 Public Law 89-36, the National Technical Institute for the Deaf Act (linked below). The bill provides for establishing and operating a coeducational, postsecondary institute for the technical education of deaf or hard-of-hearing people. Read his remarks linked below.
