Choosing a Company

Choosing the right company from the start can make the research process much smoother.  When deciding which company to research, look for U.S. Based Publicly Traded companies.  Due to U.S. reporting standards, it is easier to find information on these companies than on privately held companies.

Not sure if a company is publicly traded on a U.S. exchange?  Use the Public Company Search available through Bloomberg Business to determine if a company is traded on a public exchange and in which country.
