Interpreter on Demand via Zoom/Sorenson

Sorenson is working with Zoom to provide Interpreters on Demand services. This service is free for RIT. You can now request interpreters anytime for impromptu meetings. It is efficient and fast. See the training video for more information.

  1. The Deaf person registered with a Sorenson videophone number can use this service.
  2. The Deaf person hosts the Zoom meeting.
  3. The URL https://engage.sorensonprod.com/ works.
  4. The Deaf person fills in the form with the meeting ID and must include the audio phone number.
  5. After completing the form, click Send Invite and go to Zoom.
  6. The ASL/English interpreter will show up (two channels-video/audio). 
  7. Proceed with the meeting.
