Paul S. Watson

The picture on the left is in the Public Domain. Paul S. Watson. This information is from Dr. Harry Lang's book, Silence of the Spheres. He attended Baltimore Polytechnic and John Hopkins University, graduating in 1929. He worked as a curator at the Maryland Academy of Science observatory and as a director at the Davis Planetarium, where he worked for twenty-five years. Watson introduced hundreds of thousands of children, their parents, and teachers through lectures and demonstrations. He was interested in deep-sky objects--Galaxies, Ring Nebula, Orion Nebula, and he calculated the academy's annual Graphic Time Table for three months each year. See the Watson telescope.
