During the Zoom Class: Recording the Interpreter(s)

Using Co-host in a Meeting

There are two ways that you can make a user a co-host.

During a meeting:

  1. Hover over a user's video.
  2. Click the ellipsis icon  .
  3. Click Make Co-Host.

Using the participants window:

  1. Click Participants  in the meeting controls at the bottom of the Zoom window.
  2. Hover over the name of the participant who is going to be a co-host, and choose More.
  3. Click Make Co-Host.

Once a participant has been made a co-host, they'll have access to the co-host controls.

Spotlight the Interpreter

Give co-host privileges to interpreters at the start of every meeting to avoid interrupting the presenter. This feature also allows the interpreters to spotlight themselves and remain visible in the recording. All participants will see the interpreter as the active speaker.
