Sometimes, the host does not want to record, but a participant does, like a DHH attendee, or an interpreter, etc. The host can give permission to the participant to locally record onto his own computer. Also, note that the breakout rooms cannot do cloud recordings, but can do local recordings. Note: Local Recording does not process transcription unless it’s turned on as it’s recorded during the meeting/class.
Local recording allows participants to record meeting video and audio locally to a computer. The recorded files can be uploaded to a file storage service like Dropbox, Google Drive, or a streaming service like YouTube or Vimeo.
Local recordings don't support the following features:
Sign in to Zoom.
Click Settings.
In the Recording tab, navigate to the Local Recording option and verify that the setting is enabled.
Enable the Hosts can give meeting participants permission to record locally option to allow the host to give permission to record locally as well.
