(1888-1969). A graduate of the Utah School for the Deaf, she was the second Deaf student to enter the University of Utah and graduated with a teaching certificate. After teaching in Salt Lake City, she moved to the Wyoming School for the Deaf and taught there. She married a Deaf Utah native, Carl Emil Jorgensen. Emma was active in the women's suffrage movement.
