Sunshine TOO was the first traveling troupe established by NTID at RIT.

The artistic director of Sunshine TOO was Dr. Bruce Halverson, who also served as the director of NTID's Division of Performing Arts. Assisting Dr. Halverson was Theatre Stage Specialist Timothy Toothman, who had successfully scheduled performances for the troupe at approximately 200 locations.

Sunshine TOO conducted workshops in schools with both deaf and hearing student populations. The troupe offered three distinct shows tailored to different school-age groups, along with a full-length evening performance designed for adult audiences. School performances typically ranged from 35 to 55 minutes and were often paired with workshops to provide a full day of educational and theatrical activities.

Dr. Halverson developed the scripts for all three shows. Each was written in revue form, allowing the material to be rearranged to suit the needs of specific audiences.

The Sunshine TOO company consisted of six actors. That year, three of the performers were deaf and three were hearing. The assistant artistic director and road manager was Ed Alletto, an RIT graduate. Alletto was the only member of that year’s company who had also toured with the troupe the previous year.
