The RIT/NTID Dance Company presented a contemporary adaptation of Sergei Prokofiev's children's symphony, enhanced with a narrative element. The story was narrated by world-renowned actor and Grammy Award-winning musician William Warfield. The production was directed and choreographed by Thomas Warfield, director of the RIT/NTID Dance Company.
William Warfield was an American concert bass-baritone known for his performances in stage productions, Hollywood films, and television programs. A prominent African-American artist during the Civil Rights era, he collaborated with many notable artists, represented the United States on international tours, taught at academic institutions, and received numerous accolades, including a Grammy Award in 1984.
