Sunshine 2.0 (2016-2017)

Sunshine 2.0, the newest revival of the professional traveling theatre troupe, has been reintroduced by the NTID Performing Arts Advisory Board and Dr. Aaron Kelstone, Performing Arts Program Director. The Outreach Coordinator, Fred M. Beam, has joined to lead Sunshine 2.0. Mr. Beam and the troupe members travel to various venues, offering performances and activities that highlight STEM fields and other educational topics through the arts.

Fred M. Beam is an experienced performer, having acted in numerous shows. He is also a dancer, director, choreographer, and the founder of The Wild Zappers. He established the Theatre Arts Leadership Training for Deaf People of Color at Gallaudet University and has organized the Black Deaf Expo since 2003, providing the Black Deaf community with a platform to showcase their culture.
