Luane Davis Haggerty directed The Legend of Sleepy Hollow, featuring a script by Aaron Weir Kelstone, a former NTID Performing Arts Director. The story delves into the heart's wickedness within a love triangle involving Katrina Van Tassel, a local girl; Brom Bones, the local boy; and Ichabod Crane, the educated outsider.
The performance blends Deaf storytelling traditions and shadowgraphs with the poetic aspects of autumn's fading light and the delightful eeriness of Halloween.
The Headless Horseman puppet was hand-built by Scott Randall and Gail Argetsinger, a former costume designer and professor at SUNY Brockport.
