Peter Pan became a big hit! NTID Performing Arts and MSM Productions, Ltd. delivered a magical performance featuring impressive elements, including flying effects by Flying by Foy, a tick-tock sound in the crocodile's tummy represented by flashing clocks, and the audience waving handkerchiefs quickly when Peter Pan pleaded to save Tinker Bell.
However, an unintended special effect occurred midway through Thursday's show when a fire alarm forced fairies, pirates, and onlookers to scramble into the drizzly night. Firefighters responded to address a malfunctioning alarm system and fog machine.
"At least it didn't happen while anyone was flying through the air," Director Jim Orr commented as the audience returned to Neverland.
