Eye Music: October 26-29, 2000 — 1510 Theatre Lab & November 4–5, 2000 — West Side Dance Project, New York, NY

NTID Performing Arts, in collaboration with the Hispanic Deaf Club, presented the live production of Eye Music. This original one-act play was written by Luane Davis, former director of Eye Music and NTID Theatre faculty member, in collaboration with Jeannette Vargas, former advisor of the Hispanic Deaf Club (now Latin American Deaf Club), senior staff specialist in NTID’s Development Office, and consultant on Hispanic language and culture.

The play highlights the work of renowned Hispanic and minority visual artists, including Francisco José de Goya y Lucientes, Frida Kahlo, Diego Rivera, and Alice Neel.

The cast first performed Eye Music at the 1510 Lab Theatre at NTID in October. The production later traveled to New York City for a performance at the West Side Dance Project in November.
