The Rustle of a Star: February 8-10, 2001

NTID Performing Arts presented a new original play honoring Robert F. Panara, RIT’s first Deaf professor, founder of NTID’s theatre program, and the first advisor of the NTID Drama Club. Written and directed by Dr. Bonnie Meath-Lang, former Artistic Director, the play was a fantasy inspired by the literary and historical influences in Panara’s life.

“That’s how I think of Bob—a joyful, spirited individual who embraced all of his life experiences and made something good of them. As both an artist and educator, he succeeded in creating a future where new students and educators carry on what he began in the field of theatre by and for Deaf people.”— Dr. Bonnie Meath-Lang
