....and melodies unheard: May 1-4, 2014

Thomas Warfield, Director of Dance, presented a live concert in collaboration with the RIT Orchestra and the School of Interactive Games and Media. This multimedia performance honored Dr. Robert F. Panara and drew inspiration from his poetry, brought to life by the RIT/NTID Dance Company under Warfield’s direction and choreography.

The performance featured projections of Dr. Panara’s original poetry on a large screen, serving as a unifying thread for the diverse dance pieces. Warfield worked with dancers from both RIT and NTID to craft choreography loosely inspired by lines from Dr. Panara’s work, which he described as “possessing a musical and rhythmic flow that captures a wide range of human emotion and experience.”
